Duratherm provided Mahogany fixed windows and swing doors for the new dining pavilion at the revered Ravinia Festival, summer home of the Chicago Symphony. Chicago Tribune architectural critic Blair Kamin states: “Its emphatic horizontal lines and richly layered Mahogany façade subtly evoke Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie Style….Their best stroke, though, was their deft handling of the weather-treated Mahogany, which is used as a cladding material and as a frame for doors and windows. The Mahogany creates pleasing visual rhythms, textures, and shade and shadow patterns that distinguish the pavilion from the monotony of a slick, low-slung suburban office building.”
