The client’s mandate was for minimal use of structure and maximum use of glass. To achieve this, Duratherm provided multiple lift/roll doors utilizing pocket configurations and a mullion-less corner detail to allow unobstructed views of the Atlantic. One door pockets into the masonry chimney anchoring one end of the living room. Large fixed and operable windows in the private areas of the house add to the overall transparency.
