Architects wanted the warmth and richness of wood windows. City officials, who had experienced safety and maintenance problems with aluminum windows in schools, agreed. “Knowing budget was a concern,” states architect Matthew Oudens, “Duratherm worked with us to develop the most cost-effective solution possible without sacrificing their standards or our design intent.” The project won an AIA National Honor Award.
