Duratherm replaced deteriorated aluminum windows on this iconic Alvar Aalto designed building with single-hung and fixed units. Owners chose Duratherm teak over aluminum for historical accuracy, lower maintenance, and to ensure its windows would last this landmark building’s lifetime. Susan Personette, then restoration project manager for MIT, says the final result “literally took our breath away. The building visually came to life again with the new windows.”
