The similarity to the work of Alvar Aalto is perhaps a homage to the masters work. But Kalllmann McKinnell and Wood are masters themselve, and this exquistely detailed residence is a testament to their skill. Tall, narrow openings combining Inswing Casements and Fixed units comprise the exterior walls of the truncated “U” plan, with external applied fins held off the mullions with custon cast solid bronze couplings. On the interio courtyard area, the home openings up with a massive window wall enclosing the circulation spaces.
