A two-story reading room is a highlight of this renovation/addition project. The architects’ concept was to make the room appear as a lantern at night. Duratherm achieved this effect with operable monumental wood windows, detailed to accommodate adjustable sunscreens and interior pocketing shutters, and high fixed clerestory windows.
