DURATHERM WINS THE PINE TREE AWARD

October 24, 2012 | Winslow, Maine

Timothy P. Downing receiving the Pine Tree Award of the Maine Wood Products Association in Winslow, Maine, October 24, 2012.

The Maine Wood Products Association has announced honorees for this award each year since 2000. This annual award recognizes a Maine-based wood products company for innovations over a two-year period that have strengthened their business, the reputation of Maine wood products, and the companies that make them.

Before an audience of 150 people including Duratherm employees, vendors, families, Association members, all 11 previous honorees, and representatives from the state legislature and the governor's office, proclamations were made honoring Timothy P. Downing, president, and Duratherm Corporation.

President Tim Downing stated, "This award is such an honor because of the wonderful work the Maine Wood Products Association does, and because of the stature and prestige of the previous honorees and their companies. Building custom hardwood windows and doors for the world's most elite architects has given Duratherm a global reach, but we have never forgotten, and will never forget, how deep and rich our roots are here in Maine. Our workers and most of our suppliers are all Maine-grown. We know that "the quality of Maine" is not just a saying, it's the truth, and Duratherm and the Pine Tree Association are proof positive," he continued.

"We look forward to a long and prosperous involvement with the Association and its terrific members. On behalf of every employee of Duratherm, we express our heartfelt thanks for this honor."
